June 13th -- Wiesbaden with the Ladies

Cheryl aka Julie McCoy planned an adventure to Wiesbaden on Thursday.  Some of us carpooled while other met at the train that takes you around Wiesbaden -- Tour de Wiesbaden.   Unfortunately, we missed the train.  Instead, we took the opportunity to walk around the city.  After walking for a bit, we all got back in our cars and headed to Domäne Mechtilshausen -- a beautiful farm about ten minutes outside of Wiesbaden that sells fresh produce, flowers, bread and dairy products and has a wine bar, a cafe and a restaurant.  We all sat down to a wonderful lunch -- Trish and Cheryl (our tour guide) got lost and were a little late, but eventually joined us.  We had a great time -- great friends, weather and food - How can you go wrong?

June 5th -- Blue Skies in Oberursel -- A rare event!

June 5th -- Blue Skies in Oberursel

Today was a spectactular day in Oberursel.  Probably in the high 60s, blue sky and sun -- all rare events these days.  Mac and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather.  So with Mac's leash in one hand and the camera around my neck, we headed off or the forest.  (Don't worry for those of you who think that I favor Mac, Sarah was going to be following soon with Ana).  We took a 45 minute loop around the forest and on our way back we met up with Sarah and Ana -- Sarah has been taking Ana running with her these days.  Here are some pictures from our forest!
