November 3, 2012 -- The Wedding

The daughter of very dear friends of ours was getting married on November 3rd.  Four months in advance, we purchased tickets for us and for another friend of ours to come over to Germany and stay with K and S.  You guessed it!  Hurricane Sandy -- aka Frankenstorm -- had other plans.  Our friend never made it over to Germany.  Alas, I went stag!  In future, you may want to leave us off the wedding invite list.  This happened to us years ago when we were supposed to attend a friend's wedding in Bermuda.  A hurricane hit Bermuda and we never made it.  With that said, I am happy I was able to be there.  The bride was stunning!  Congrats Jon and Karissa!
