Today was our last day in Florence. We began our day by visiting the Basilica di Santa Croce. This is the burial place for many famous Italians, including Michelango and Galileo. After Santa Croce, we had lunch at a great brick oven pizza place. In the afternoon, Christopher, Alana and S climbed to the top of the Il Duomo -- a mere 463 steps. It was a little cloudy, but all three of them said that the view was worth the climb. We dined at La Giostra, Linda's suggestion. Not knowing how much food would be brought to our table, we all ordered appetizers. Before we even got our appetizers, the chef brought out a platter of food (different bruschettas, artichokes, eggplant etc). Then, our appetizers came out -- the portions were huge. Next came the entrees -- Once again we all rolled back to the hotel.
